An Amerindian philosophy meaning ‘guardian of the land without borders’ in Algonquin, ‘Kanatha Aki’ is the name of this outdoor activity centre located in Val-des-Lacs, just a 30-minute drive from Mont-Tremblant and 1.5 hours from Montreal. In summer and winter alike, the centre offers a wide range of outdoor experiences to help you discover the Laurentians and their environment in a unique way: dog sledding, ice fishing, snowshoeing, horseback riding, survival courses, zip-lining and more. The centre has even created Quebec's first and only Athabascaes wood bison reserve, helping to protect this endangered species and allowing everyone to discover it!

About Dog Sledding in the Laurentians, at Val-des-Lacs.
The instructor made us feel very comfortable throughout and gave us opportunities to take breaks and look around us. They also were very supportive and prepared us for any risks while sledding.
