Spend 4 relaxing hours outdoors trying your hand at ice fishing at Val-des-Lacs, an Inuit-style fishing experience in the Laurentians!
Do you know what a tip-up ('brimbale' in French) is? It is the main piece of equipment used for this ice fishing session in the Laurentians. It is a fishing line fitted with one or more baits that will enable you to catch the speckled and rainbow trout of the lake where you will be fishing. The best point of it? You will be able to keep an eye on your fishing rod from the shelter of a fisherman's hut, as its handle fixed in the ice will ensure that it doesn't fall into the water if a fish bites while you are away!
You will have the pleasure of enjoying a 4-hour ice fishing session at Val-des-Lacs, an ideal activity for families, couples or friends to relax in the great outdoors of the Laurentians, just a 30-minute drive from Mont-Tremblant and 1.5 hours from Montreal. Accompanied by a guide, you will drill a hole in the ice and then wait for a trout to take the bait. Once the experience is over, you can take your catch home with you!
Ice fishing is a must-do winter activity in Quebec, so don't miss out on an ice fishing session in the Laurentians with Kanatha Aki in Val-des-Lacs!
