Cross class 2 to 3 rapids from the comfort of an armchair with River Bugging on the River Leven at Kinlochleven!
River Bugging is a lesser-known whitewater sport than rafting or tubing, but it is just as much fun whether you practice it alone or with others. The activity is carried out in a small individual inflatable craft, like tubing, except that you will be comfortably seated with a backrest to support you and 2 kinds of inflatable armrests to help you float. All you have to do is let the current carry you down the River Leven in your River Bug, and for the more daring, you can change position on board and end up lying on your stomach, just like in hydrospeed! It is up to you to decide what will give you the most fun when you try River Bugging near Fort William, at Kinlochleven.
Accompanied by an instructor in his own River Bug, you will enjoy this River Bugging experience on the River Leven, a waterway renowned for its class 2 to 3 rapids offering great thrills. You will cruise for around 3 hours on a stretch of river close to its source, Loch Leven, just a 35-minute drive from Fort William in the Highlands. Everyone from the age of 8 is welcome, and you don't even need to know how to swim, as long as you are comfortable in the water: you will be equipped with all the safety gear you need (wetsuit, helmet and life jacket) and will be supervised by the instructor, who will help you if necessary. The activity requires no previous experience of white water, so everyone can enjoy it!
So if you are in the Scottish Highlands, be sure to try River Bugging on the River Leven at Kinlochleven: with family and friends alike, you will have an unforgettable time, both refreshing and fun, in the superb natural setting of the Highlands!
