Founded in 2017, ÆVENTYR is an outdoor adventure expert based in Alta, a UNESCO celebrated area of natural beauty in Finnmark county, Norway. One of the best places to see the Northern Lights, ÆVENTYR offers a range of seasonal excursions that celebrate the stunning landscape they call home.

Nicknamed, 'The City of the Northern Lights', it's no surprise that ÆVENTYR specialises in midnight hikes to see the iconic aurora borealis. Trekking through the forest, their tours combine natural heritage with local legacy - offering insight into the traditions of native Sami culture.

One of the northernmost cities in the world, Alta is surprisingly easy to reach - with connecting flights from Oslo all year round! ÆVENTYR uses its unique geographical location to its advantage, organising activities in summer and winter. Travel to Altafjord & Seiland National Park for a chance to watch whales, spot ancient cave paintings - or go further and pedal through Alta canyon, the opportunities are endless!
