About the activity

Between snow-covered mountains, frozen canyons, forests, and Lake Torneträsk, Abisko National Park is a true natural paradise in winter, offering breathtaking scenery. And while it is perfectly possible to explore its marked trails on your own, nothing beats the company of a guide who can not only lead you along the park’s most beautiful routes but also share a wealth of fascinating information about it! Its history, wildlife, plants and more – there is no shortage of things to discover on this guided hike through Abisko National Park, accompanied by a local guide delighted to share their knowledge of this must-see natural area near Kiruna.

You will enjoy a pleasant 1.5 to 2-hour hike along a flat, well-marked trail of around 2 km, suitable for all. Whether you are a family with children aged 7 and up, a couple, travelling solo or with friends, this hike from Abisko is accessible to everyone, with the guide on hand to assist if needed along the way (a small natural obstacle, a thick layer of snow, etc.). This gentle walk lets you fully take in the snowy landscapes of Swedish Lapland, and if you are lucky, you might even spot some of the local wildlife: foxes, mountain hares, birds, reindeer, and, for the luckiest among you, the magnificent moose! A real breath of fresh air awaits you, just an hour and 15 minutes from Kiruna.

Whether you are a true nature enthusiast or simply curious to discover the region’s landscapes, this guided hike in Abisko National Park will offer you a memorable escape in the heart of the Arctic winter. Don’t miss the chance to join in, and book your place today to set off with a small group of fellow walkers!
