Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must hold a valid driver's license, please bring the physical copy with you on the day of the activity.
Children and those without a license can ride on the snowmobile as a passenger.

All adult prices are for a shared snowmobile between two participants. If you wish to drive your own snowmobile, please choose the 'Driver only' option.

Pick-ups will commence 30 minutes before the departure time.
In case of damage to a snowmobile and its accessories, you may be liable to pay up to SEK 8,000 in insurance deductible per damaged snowmobile.
If Outback Abiso deems it possible that the damage can be repaired, the cost of the damaged part and the work for this will be paid by the person who caused the damage at a cost lower than the previously mentioned SEK 8,000.

This trip departs from Abisko, a small village located in northern Sweden, within the Arctic Circle. On your snowmobile excursion from Abisko, you'll venture deep into Abisko National Park, one of Sweden's most iconic and beautiful natural areas, situated in the country's far north.
For this backcountry snowmobile tour in Abisko National Park, you'll start the experience by meeting your guide at Abisko Mountain Lodge (pick-up is also available from listed locations, please specify when booking). Upon arrival, you'll receive the eco-friendly snowmobiles and the necessary equipment (warm clothes, winter boots, balaclava, gloves, and helmet). The certified guide will take you through a safety briefing and instructions for using the snowmobiles. You can choose to share the vehicle between two participants, one driver and one passenger, or drive solo.
In a small intimate group of 8 participants maximum, you'll set off on your thrilling snowmobile tour in Abisko National Park! Following the guide, you'll start driving on the Kungsleden (King's Trail), one of Sweden's most famous long-distance hiking trails. Along the way, you'll be treated to mesmerising views of the surrounding mountains, frozen lakes, and tundra. Midway through, you'll stop for a traditional Swedish fika, consisting of hot drinks and sweet snacks.
For the 4-hour snowmobile trip in Abisko National Park, you'll venture even further into Abisko's backcountry. After driving on Kungsleden, you'll cross the frozen Lake Abiskojaure and travel along the upper part of the Gámaeatnu River. If you're lucky, you may encounter native wildlife in their natural habitat, such as reindeer, moose, martens, and even Arctic foxes, lynx, and bears! There will be opportunities to stop to capture photos and switch snowmobile drivers if you wish. At the end of the excursion, you'll return to the original starting point in Abisko.
