Explore the wild backcountry of the Fernkloof Nature Reserve with this scenic quad biking tour in Hermanus!

Depart from our base camp on one of our routes on this amazing Fynsbos farm. The trail is easy to moderate and the guides will ensure you have a memorable experience. The trail starts with a curvy and flat drive but slowly as you get the hang of it the tour starts heading up the mountains and past the Honingklip Dam. The views are some of the best from our trails we offer.

The fleet of bikes are new and we also expect our clients to respect our rules such as safe following distance and speed limits at certain points. We will also put you on a short safety drive to ensure your comfortable with the longer trail ahead. Our Honingklip trail is ideally situated on the main road towards Hermanus if you travel from Cape Town.

Cameras on this trip are an absolute must! – From the trails vantage point on your trials you will see the entire bay and Botriver Lagoon.

The track was well designed for an intro and serious driver

My extended family and I, a party of 7, spent an enjoyable morning with this outfit, quad biking near Hermanus in August 2022. The mountain-side venue is, in truth, closer to Bot River than to Hermanus itself. It was great fun and I'd have no hesitation recommending this to others. The bikes were in good condition and pretty simple to ride, even for our 12 year hold who had the measure of it in just a few seconds. The route was diverse with some time on dirt road, some on dirt track, and a spell in a smallish low soft sand dune area. There were great views at the height of the track, skirting a small dam, and then descending back down to base, including a small river crossing. The pace throughout matched the competencies of the riders and the guides gauged this well. The safety, riding instructions and activity briefing was perfectly pitched. The guides were fun, humorous and out-going and pleasant to be around and between the two of them they shepherded everyone around the route without obviously appearing to do so. The kids rated this as one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you for a great morning out SA Forest Adventures.
