Switch up your favourite sports with sandboarding lessons on Cape Town's scorching coastline - courtesy of SA Forest Adventures.

Swapping powder for golden grains of sand, who said you needed mountains to practice your favourite downhill sport? Head to the Cape Town coastline for epic sandboarding lessons with local pros, SA Forest Adventures.

Africa's highest commercial sandboarding destination - Cape Town's epic sand dunes are the perfect place to learn how to ride without the heavy outerwear and pricey lift pass. Skip the hype and grab a board on the Western Cape with adventure lessons on the scorching sands that rise up from the beach.

Offering red hot thrills and amazing views to boot, heading up and down the huge inclines of Houtbay and Betty's Bay, SA Forest Adventure's group lessons give you the chance to try out one of South Africa's most popular new action sport with stunning scenic views (and maybe a few whale sightings if you're lucky!)

Operating on the shores just an hour outside the city, the silver sands of Betty’s Bay boast 250m dunes and stunning views out towards the Marine Protected Area. A beautiful ocean vista on the outskirts of the Kogelberg Nature Reserve and Hottentots-Holland Mountains, sandboarding might be new to the towering dunes - but it's arguably the best way to experience the Western Cape.

For something closer to home, SA Forest Adventures also operate in Hout Bay. Offering group lessons in the shadow of Table Mountain, the cape peninsula is packed with great spots to try out your technique and hang on the beach with resident African penguins!

Both instructors Ronald and Ali were professional and friendly. They worked in harmony They provided assistance to ensure the scrambles between wires was doable and safe for me, with patience. (My left leg is very weak)

Very well organised and the guide looked very well after all off us.

The guides were fun, humorous and out-going and pleasant to be around, and between the two of them they shepherded everyone around the route without obviously appearing to do so. The pace throughout matched the competencies of the riders and the guides gauged this well. The safety, riding instructions and activity briefing was perfectly pitched.

Both instructors were very professional and eased us in to the activity. I gave Mzo a hard time(fear and anxiety took over) but he kept his cool and continued encouraging me.😄😄
