The total duration of the tour is 50-60 minutes.
25-50 minute guided helicopter flight and a 15-minute landing by a remote geothermal area on an old volcano.
- Arrive at the aerodrome and meet the pilot
- Departure for the flight over the Hengill geothermal area
- Flight over the Hellisheiði plateau, Hengill geothermal area, Nesjavallavirkjun, Hellisheiðarvirkjun, Bláfjöll mountain range, city of Reykjavik, Kristnitökuhraun lava field and craters.
- 15-minute landing in the Hengill geothermal zone.
- Return to the aerodrome and end of the activity
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Lap-held children under 1 y/o free of charge.
Weight limit 120 kg per passenger. This will ensure that everyone on the tour has a comfortable and safe ride! Any passengers over 120 kg / 265 lbs / 19 stone are required to pay for 1.5 seats in the helicopter.
Departure times subject to confirmation: morning departures vary from 08:00 to 13:00, and evening departures from 13:00 to 20:00.
