This discovery course is ideal to start gently and get acquainted with racing in the mountains.
From an easy to intermediate level, you will work on your supports and learn to adapt your running techniques.
Running in Ariege is first of all a way to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful landscapes. Your running trails will take you on beautiful ridge lines, up the Pyrenees, wild and majestic.
Your instructor offers a race program with distance and altitude adjusted to the level of the group, no bad surprise ahead! You will also enjoy the opportunity to spend a relaxing time in the pool, sauna, or steam room for a better recovery after a trail.
Typical program
Day 1
- Trail in the mountains on a beautiful ridge line. Sequence of several climbs and descents. 7 to 14 km and about 500 m of altitude difference.
- This circuit will be adapted to the level of the participants. The guide will analyze the level of each to better understand the group. You will develop the techniques of uphill and downhill support. Management of the effort ...
- Educational course. Analysis of racing techniques and heart rate of each.
Day 2
- Trail in the mountains on a superb course adapted to the level and objectives of trainees.
- Coordination work, reinforcement of mountain development techniques, sheathing...
- Analysis of objectives and development of individual training plans.
It is possible to propose new dates, do not hesitate to ask.

Practical information
This option grants you access to the 2 days discovery training of mountain running.
You'll have theory classes to analyse, understand and improve your technic.
You can be filmed during your runs to allow a better analysis afterwards.
You'll evolve in groups of 6 participants maximum. The level will be adapted to the group.
You'll have access to: classrooms, recuperation room (sauna, jaccuzzi...), weights room.
During the course:
- analysis of your step with your instructor
- understand and study your running technics
- work on your downhill feet support
- understand and analyse your heart rate and breathing stages...
Participants must be able to run at least 1 hour (not necessarily in a mountain environment).
The meeting point might change, your instructor will let you know if it's the case.
