In a small group of no more than 8 participants, you will follow a professional instructor down into the abyss, where he will introduce you to abseiling. Depending on where you descend, you will do a series of abseils of 15, 10 and 5 metres or 7, 3, 10 and 20 metres, a great way to start your caving adventure in Tarascon-sur-Ariège! Then, once underground, you will have the pleasure of discovering the beauty of caving: crawling passages, large underground chambers with different concretions, etc., and finally a swim if you wish in water at 20°C, a very pleasant temperature when it is already 18°C in the cave!

Practical information
A day exploring caving in the Eaux Chaudes chasm, including abseiling (15, 10 and 5 metres or 7, 3, 10 and 20 metres).
- Meeting with the instructor at the Lombrives car park, in front of the Grillade Ariégeoise restaurant
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- 10-minute approach walk to the chasm
- Distribution of equipment and gear-up
- Departure for around 6 hours of caving in the Eaux Chaudes chasm, including a picnic break in the heart of the cave
- Return to the meeting point at around 5 p.m., de-equipping and end of the activity
Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people.
Claustrophobia poses no problem when taking part in this activity (you can always turn around if you need to).
