Take part in the Gougoune & Doudoune event at the Quebec Winter Carnival and discover a whole range of winter activities in Quebec City!

The Quebec Winter Carnival is a not-to-be-missed winter festivity in Quebec, celebrating the winter season with a host of events, including the Gougoune & Doudoune event on the quays of the Espace Quatre Cents in Old Quebec. The site is open to all free of charge from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there is no need to have the Carnival Effigy. Still, you will need this daily pass if you want to try out the winter activities on offer: bouldering, rope climbing and via ferrata on the big climbing bear; snow tubing; ice canoe races on the snow; mini-games; etc.

This discovery of winter activities in Quebec City during the Gougoune & Doudoune event is open to the whole family, giving everyone the chance to have fun and spend some energy just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Old Quebec. On site, you will find a free exhibition on the Carnival, food and drink stands, and everything you need to spend a magical moment in the extraordinary atmosphere of the Quebec Winter Carnival!

Practical information

Enjoy a day of winter activities at the Gougoune & Doudoune event in Quebec City:

  • via ferrata (from 8 years old);

  • tube sliding (from 1m / 40");
  • giant ball pool;
  • ice canoe race on snow;

Course of events

Access to the Gougoune & Doudoune site on the quays of the Espace Quatre Cents is free. This daily pass will allow you to take part in the various activities on offer on site for a day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. whenever you like.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special terms

Free daily pass for children under 4 years old.

This pass is not required if you simply wish to access the Gougoune et Doudoune site without taking part in the activities.

Please note that Gougoune & Doudoune is not part of the Carnaval de Québec 2025 programme: the Effigy is therefore not required to take part.

Pets are not allowed in the activities.

The Québec Winter Carnival Videotron shuttle service is included in the pass.
