The main goal of Wild About Lapland is to provide personal and tailored experiences, whether if you wish to experience the Northern lights or to learn how to ice fish or even to take a Reindeer ride.

The owner and lead tour guide Theo Turner has many years of outdoor experience. He is a former Royal Marine Commando and Professional Outdoor Instructor with a great understanding of the Northern Lights, the Wilderness and how to survive and appreciate it. Now one of his greatest passions is to share his experiences and explain to visitors what the Finnish Lapland has to offer.

About Backcountry Skiing Excursion in Lapland near Rovaniemi.
Warm welcoming by reception, plenty of sizes of ski suits available. However it may be easier to tell customer to go the venue a bit early so to avoid long wait when many groups come at the same time. Our trekking duration was a bit shorter than I expected, probably because we have different levels of ski experience in our group and spending too much time in preparing equipments and changing.

About Full-day Canoeing Excursion in Finnish Lapland from Rovaniemi.
Our guides were informative, well planned and helpful! We had the same 2 guides for 3 activities and felt comfortable hanging out with them. Neither guide was a Lapland local - we would have enjoyed hearing stories about growing up in Lapland and legends from the past of the area.
