In 1988, Alan John Hackett, a New Zealander, discovered a half-destroyed former railway viaduct in Normandy, in the Souleuvre valley. Passionate about thrill sports, he decided to build a bungee jumping platform on the second pier of the viaduct at 61 meters high, as well as a 140 meters long suspended footbridge to reach the platform.

The first jumps took place in November 1990, after 6 months of hard work, and the Souleuvre viaduct is now giving adrenaline-seekers in Normandy the chance to get their thrills! In particular, with the opening of the giant zip line in 1999, the 1m80 by 1m80 glass balcony offering a panoramic view of the entire Souleuvre valley in 2022 and the new feature in 2024, the pendulum jump on a rope. Since then, the company's primary objective has been to protect the Souleuvre valley (1,000 ha) by giving it protected status, while making it a major European tourist destination for everyone, from thrill-seekers to nature lovers!
