Amorgos Diving

Established in 2007 Amorgos Diving Center is the only PADI 5 star Diving resort on Amorgos. Over the last 7 years they have built a reputation of professionalism and customer service second to none. Amorgos Diving Center continues to evolve with free diving, climbing and walking tours. Amorgos Diving staff can help you if you want to learn to dive, have a fun dive, or just discover Amorgos by land with a little help.

Dimitris Synodinos - Born and bred Amorgian, as a boy of 6 years old, Dimitris was inspired by watching Jean Reno act his scenes in Luc Besson’s film The Big Blue. When asked by his father what he wanted to do, he said ‘be a diver’. With over 12 years training and experience. Dimitris founded the Amorgos Dive Centre in 2007. He continues to teach and is the first person most customers will meet on arrival at Amorgos.

Ophelia - Offa trained from DSD to Rescue diver with Amorgos Diving Center. Now she an OWSI Instructor. Amorgos has become her second home. Her local knowledge above and below the water will ensure you don’t get lost! You are in great hands with Offa as your guide.

Alessia - Coming straight from Italy, Alessia is already part of the «family». Her Passion is the Sea and she loves to share it. As a marine biologist she particularly has an immaculate sense of observation of the underwater world.

Iakovos - A mix of British politeness and Amorgian wildness, Iakovos is one of the pillars of Amorgos Diving Center. Growing in Amorgos Island he once tried diving and caught the diving bug straight away. Trained with Amorgos Diving Center for the last two years, he has become a successful and serious Divemaster and DSD Leader.

Phil - An exotic mix of Austrian and English, Phil spent the last summer working and training in Amorgos Diving center. He now is a great Divemaster and his west country twang in English and smooth German will suit all palettes! His local knowledge is tip top especially if you need any camping tips!

Myrto - Half Swedish, half Greek Myrto grew up in Amorgos Island. She’s curious, inventive and knows the island like the back of her hand. Myrto just passed her Open Water training and is now an intern doing the zero to hero and will finish the season as a fantastic divemaster!

Alix - Fed up with the Parisian rush, Alix migrated to Amorgos Island four years ago. She has since then become an Amorgian herb and with a bit of luck you can spot her on full moon nights or in the Adventure Shop. She will help you book your dives and plan your adventures in Amorgos.
