NCKD was created early 2012, to allow Jean Jacques to completely dedicate himself to water sports in the Basque Country.

Formerly a marine fisher in St Jean de Luz, Jean Jacques is greatly passionate about sea kayaking. He decided to complete his state certified instructor diploma, allowing him to transmit his love for white water sports to others.

Nationally, he now works between the Pyrenees and Alps and Gwada and Corsica Seas. Internationally, Jean Jacques works in Spain, Sweden and Canada (primarily Quebec).

He has built upon his experience over the years, by working with the public and discovering the various areas both alone and as a team.

NCKD’s USP is their attention to detail when it comes to quality, conviviality and security. They welcome small groups to help immerse them into their selected activity.

They’ve chosen to be quality-centric in a world that is profit-centric, as they feel this is what their customers are looking for and this is what NCKD wants to emphasise. NCKD wants to share the experience with their customers through the varied itineraries and terrains.

All lessons can be conducted in French or English.

Excellent - spoke English very well, very inclusive. Very friendly, and knowledgeable. Had our safety in mind at all times, while still allowing the activity to be challenging and fun.

The instructor was brilliant. He took time to explain everything to us in English despite all others in our group being French. He took lots of photos which he sent soon after. We like the good balance between safety but also allowing us to do some more challenging things like cliff jumping and rafting under a fast flowing water fall.
