Why work with Manawa?
I'm writing this article today to tell you why I, Vincent, Sales Director at Manawa.com, think you should promote your outdoor and adventure activities on the Manawa's booking website!
I'm not going to tell you all the advantages of working with a booking site to promote and sell your activities. I've already written a dedicated article about this, " Why sell your outdoor and adventure activities on a booking site ", so I'm not going to tell you how it works or the main reasons for selling your activities on Manawa, which are obviously to get extra customers and to gain visibility.
What I'd like to share in this article today is our objective, our vision, and above all what we can all do together as professionals to enable as many people as possible to discover the activities we're passionate about.
Manawa's aim is to introduce new customers to outdoor and adventure activities, and to help them discover new spots to enjoy. To do this, we encourage our customers to take the plunge, to try an activity they are scared of, or don't think they are capable of, for the first time. Through adventure, we enable our customers to acess places, landscapes, and sensations that they thought were inaccessible, allowing them to discover what we are lucky enough to experience and feel when practising outdoor and adventure activities throughout the world.
The original idea behind Manawa came about because we, as practitioners, were having difficulty finding and contacting the professionals who organised the activities we were passionate about during our travels.
Back in 2015, we were looking for super adrenaline fueled activities such as mountain biking in Cape Town, skydiving in Spain, freediving on shipwrecks, or ski touring in Chamonix or Zermatt. Such activities were near impossible to find, nevermind book online!
Today, the original project, which was to enable as many customers as possible to discover and enjoy the activities we're passionate about, is still the same. The main difference is that the Manawa team and, above all, our customers are growing in number, which has enabled us to extend the activities we're passionate about to all the outdoor and adventure activities in the world.
As far as the promotion of outdoor activities is concerned, it's pretty clear that this includes all the outdoor activities that have a link with nature, such as canyoning, paragliding, diving, surfing... We also use the word 'adventure' to cover activities that may not be outdoors but still provide sensations in different forms. This allows us to promote our favourite outdoor sports indoors, such as climbing, surfing and wind tunnels, but also activities that are a little different and more recent, such as virtual reality and escape games.
By deciding to promote your outdoor and adventure activities on Manawa you are entrusting your activities and part of your brand image to a team of passionate people who are interested in who you are, how you operate, and who understand the challenges you face.
Outdoor and adventure activities are, and always will be, Manawa's priority, so we have every interest in helping you gain visibility and additional customers, as well as supporting you and helping you to develop your business through training and advice.
Manawa's objective today is very clear and was announced 'publicly' at the beginning of 2024. We aim to become the world leader in the sale of outdoor and adventure activities. We want to sell €100 million worth of outdoor and adventure activities by 2028, enabling more and more customers from all over the world to come and discover your activities.
To achieve this, our three main areas of commercial development are outlined below :
- to bring you more customers and more visibility,
- enable you to develop your structures and adapt your activities to be able to welcome more and better customers.
- to invite and support as many outdoor and adventure activity professionals as possible around the world to join us in promoting their activities on Manawa and digitise their offerings.
By achieving this objective, we will be able to enable the outdoor and adventure activities sector to remain independent of other activities (culture, restaurants, hotels, etc.) by having its own website specialising in booking outdoor and adventure activities around the world!
