Interview with an affiliate: Goyav

Thibault and Simon are two travel enthusiasts who have created Goyav, the first online collaborative travel blog in 2019. The aim is simple: to allow anyone to share their travel stories for free and take advantage of the community to gain visibility and make a name for themselves. With more than 3,000 travel stories shared since its inception, the blog lets you fill up on travel ideas from all over the world!

What motivated the creation of Goyav?

Creating a personal blog takes time and requires some knowledge of communications and SEO if you hope to make a name for yourself. Not everyone has that kind of time or knowledge. So we created Goyav to help you manage your own blog on a collaborative platform, free of charge!

Why did you join the Manawa affiliate programme?

The Goyav community is mainly made up of backpackers, so it was only natural that we joined the affiliate programme to offer outdoor activities on our site.

What are your favourite destinations for outdoor activities?

We know Corsica like the back of our hand, it's our playground, but we'd benefit from discovering more places in France, because we have a wonderful country! My favourite spots in Corsica are in southern Corsica, in the Porto Vecchio region. The Punta di a Vacca Morta hike is really my favourite. I also love the Aiguilles de Bavella for canyoning. As for beaches, my favourites are Pinarello, the Cabanon Bleu beach and Santa Giulia. As for destinations further afield, my 2 favourites are Argentina and Australia. I know Argentina well, having been there 3 times, and I particularly loved the south, with Patagonia and Iguazu Falls. My last big trip was to Australia and I fell in love with the country, especially its flora and fauna, which are simply incredible. I saw animals there that I'd never seen before in my life (koalas, kangaroos, snakes, etc.).

What's your favourite destination and why?

Argentina, because we both lived there for several months. It's a marvellous country with splendid landscapes, whether in the south or the north. The food and the locals are just some of the factors that make us love this country!

Which of the Manawa activities is your favourite? Why or why not?

Canyoning in Corsica is really the activity we love. We've already done it several times in different canyons and we've loved it every time! I've already done 2 canyoning trips with a guide, both near the Aiguilles de Bavella in the Purcaraccia waterfalls, with a dream setting and a nice hike at the start, as well as the one at Pulischellu.

In your opinion, what are the advantages of the Manawa affiliate programme?

There are countless activities on offer, something for every taste and every type of traveller (solo, with friends, as a couple or with the family). It's this diversity that makes us love Manawa (and our community too). We have an excellent relationship with Manawa, they're always there to support us and regularly suggest new activities for us to try out. The affiliate dashboard gives us access to the figures, which enables us to improve conversion.

What's your next travel destination?

Summer means Corsica! We'll be heading back there next week :)
