Practical information
For this excursion, you'll depart from Mandraki and take part in a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience in Nisyros. This option includes two shore dives in different locations.
Course of events
- Arrive at the diving school in Mandraki
- Meet the instructor
- Receive scuba diving equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, wet suit, BCD, regulator, tank, weights)
- Safety briefing and verbal training session (approximately 30-45 minutes)
- Drive to the beach in Mandraki
- Enter the water from the shore
- The scuba diving adventure begins!
- Practice safety skills
- First dive to a maximum depth of 6 metres / 20 feet (approximately 40 minutes-1 hour)
- Exit the water
- Return to the diving school in Mandraki
- Break and enjoy snacks
- Drive to the second diving location
- Enter the water from the shore
- Second dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres / 39 feet (depending on comfortability)
- Exit the water
- Return to the diving school in Mandraki
Activity requirements
Participants must be in good health condition for this activity. You must pass a medical questionnaire or provide physician clearance.
Children will need written permission from a parent or guardian.
