Practical information
On this excursion, you'll depart from Rovaniemi and embark on a canoe trip to an authentic reindeer farm in Finnish Lapland.
Course of events
- Arrive at the starting point in Rovaniemi (or pick-up from your accommodation, please specify when booking)
- Meet the guide
- Transfer to the lake outside the city
- Receive equipment (canoe, paddle, life jacket, dry bag)
- Safety briefing and paddling instructions
- The canoeing adventure begins!
- Paddle across the waters
- Arrive at the reindeer farm across the lake
- The reindeer farm visit begins!
- Tour of the farm, meet and feed the reindeer (approximately 1 hour)
- Enjoy hot drinks and snacks
- Paddle back across the lake
- Return drive to the starting point in Rovaniemi
Total canoeing time: approximately 3 hours
Activity requirements
This tour is not recommended for pregnant people, non-swimmers or those with back issues.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pick-up/drop-off from accommodations within an 8 km (5 mi) distance of Rovaniemi city centre is included. Please specify your location when booking.
Each canoe can hold up to 2 adults and 1 child. Participants will steer their own canoe.
