On this excursion, you'll depart from Rovaniemi and embark on a hike in the surrounding wilderness to pick Arctic berries and mushrooms.
Course of events
- Arrive at the starting point in Rovaniemi (or pick-up from your accommodation, please specify when booking)
- Meet the guide
- Transfer to the wilderness outside the city
- Receive equipment (basket and berry comb)
- The hiking adventure begins!
- Walk through the wilderness (approximately 1-3 km / 0.6-2 mi)
- Pick wild Arctic berries/mushrooms
- Stop for a break
- Enjoy freshly prepared snacks around a campfire
- Return transfer to the original starting point in Rovaniemi
Activity requirements
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The hike is very easy, but as gentle walking is involved, this activity is not recommended for pregnant travellers, people with heart conditions or those with limited mobility.
