On this snowshoeing adventure, you'll drive from Alta to Gargia Forest and walk along a 2 km (1.2 mi) trail to the frozen Orvvosfossen Waterfall.
Course of events
- Arrive at the meeting point in Alta
- Drive to Gargia Lodge (approximately 30 minutes)
- Receive snowshoeing equipment and instructions
- The snowshoeing adventure begins!
- Hike along a trail in Gargia Forest (approximately 1.5 hours)
- Arrive at the frozen Orvvosfossen Waterfall
- Break for snacks and hot drinks
- Hike back to Gargia Lodge (approximately 1.5 hours)
- Return drive to the starting point in Alta (approximately 30 minutes)
Total hiking distance: 4 km / 2.5 mi (2 km / 1.2 mi each way)
