Practical information

Looking for a real adventure in the world of dog sledding near Montreal? Total immersion is for you.

Course of events
  • Arrive at the office by 11 a.m., take possession of cold-weather clothing
  • Meet your guide on the lake for a short activity briefing and an introductory ride
  • Shuttle bus to the mushers' camp where the mountain kennels are located
  • Lunch at your musher's camp in his rustic cabin
  • Departure on mountain trails towards Beaver Lake
  • Return to base camp around 3pm
  • Then you can praise your dogs and take photos with them!
Activity requirements

Minimum driver age: 16

The person driving the sled must be able to stand with their hands on the sled behind the basket and use their foot to brake to slow down the dogs.

Physical ability required: hiking in the mountains with ascents and descents.

Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of the activity.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special terms

Please let us know if you are significantly overweight.

Please contact the instructor at least 2 days in advance to select your meal option (regular, pork-free or vegetarian) and let him know if you have any dietary restrictions.

This activity is not accessible to pregnant or disabled people.

If you wish, you can hire cold-weather gear (mittens, coat, trousers and boots) on site for an extra $20.

A return shuttle transfer from Montreal to the meeting place is available: the cost is $100 + tax per person (a minimum of 2 people is required for transport).
