Survival course in the Moroccan High Atlas
Day 1 - Arrival in Marrakech, welcome and overnight in a riad or hotel in the heart of the medina (meal not included).
Day 2 - Transfer to the Moroccan High Atlas: you will pass through the snows of Mount Toubkal as you cross the pass at an altitude of over 2,000 metres. In the evening, you will be welcomed in a small village far from the tourist circuits.
Day 3 - Start of the trek: a "challenging" hike to reach a superb, windswept high plateau, with the day's objective of finding a stream and then its source so that you can fill up your water bottle and glean the fruits of nature. Sheltered under a rocky promontory, you will learn how to set traps and make the collected water drinkable, how to make bread and bake it in the embers, etc.
Day 4 - Descent to another source of drinking water, where you will apply the techniques and knowledge acquired the previous day. The day will be spent setting traps, collecting wood, gathering wild fruits, etc.
Day 5 - Walk through a holm oak forest at an altitude of more than 2,500 metres for more than 12 km to reach the bivouac.
Day 6 - The descent to a remote Berber village begins. You will certainly be invited to drink tea with the locals, and this last bivouac is likely to be convivial and frugal.
Day 7 - Meeting in the neighbouring village with your vehicle for a return to "civilisation". Arrival in Marrakech where a superb evening in a riad awaits you: relaxation, luxury and pleasure, hot shower and oriental meal on the menu (evening meal not included).
Day 8 - End of the course and transfer to the airport.
