William Gilman, founder and creator of True Nature Sweden, is originally from Belgium. After traveling around the globe for five years with only a backpack and a tent, he had gathered all the necessary skills to survive everything from the coldest winters to the deepest jungles.

During one of his trips in Asia, he met his future wife and then decided to settle down in her home country: Sweden. Ever since then, he has been traveling around Sweden, exploring all parts of the culture and the country's terrific nature. 

In 2016 he founded True Nature Sweden to share his passion for trekking, the outdoors, and Swedish culture. He constantly aims to bring people together to experience the beautiful landscapes and nature that the country has to offer.
