Upon arrival, the guide will drive you to the starting point at the Torne River. No previous paddling experience is required for this trip. The guide will go through a safety briefing and instructions for using the equipment. The river originates in Lake Torneträsk, located in northern Sweden, and flows southward, eventually emptying into the Gulf of Bothnia at the towns of Tornio and Haparanda. For much of its length, the Torne River serves as a natural border between Finland and Sweden.
