Kiruna is a town situated in northern Swedish, right within the Arctic Circle. It is part of the historical region of Lapland and is surrounded by vast wilderness, including forests, mountains, and lakes. Snowshoeing is an easy activity that allows you to discover the winter beauty of Kiruna!
The tour begins at the starting point in Kiruna, where you will meet your experienced guide. You will receive your equipment (snowshoes and poles) and a quick safety briefing. Beginners and children are welcome on this inclusive tour. After going through the itinerary, you will set off on your snowshoe adventure!
Fully immerse yourself in Sweden's wilderness, as you follow your guide on a fantastic trip to the Kurravaara mountain! This easy terrain will take you on a tour of the most iconic winter landscapes of the region. Once you've reached the top, you'll enjoy a well-deserved break while you take in the stunning views of the Torne River valley below. If you're lucky, you might even spot some of the native wildlife such as moose, reindeer, foxes, and hares, as well as lynx and wolverine tracks. You will take a break to enjoy some sandwiches and a hot tea or coffee. The guide will share insights about the history of this Arctic town, before you return to the starting point in Kiruna.
