Sleigh ride behind a snowmobile to the summits of Abisko National Park from Abisko or Björkliden

During this adventure in the mountainous areas of Abisko National Park, your guide will drive a snowmobile that will pull the whole group up the slope, gaining altitude to access the breathtaking views of the region. Because Abisko National Park is so vast, it would take a great deal of time and effort to reach these peaks without motorised assistance. This tour gives you easy access to sites that would otherwise be difficult to reach. What's more, you'll spend the duration of the trip comfortably seated in a fancy sled, in the company of friends and family, with hot drinks to keep you warm.

Along the way, your guide will point out nearby animals and animal tracks, giving you an insight into the flora and fauna of the Arctic. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the elk, reindeer, wolverine and ptarmigan that live in the park's permafrost.

Once on site, the real spectacle begins. Admire the magnificent view of the frozen Torneträsk lake below and the mountains beyond, which form the border between Sweden and Norway. Your guide will give you plenty of time to take in the sights before heading back down to the city, your heart full of this excursion into the wild Lappish hinterland.
