With family or friends, enjoy a tubing adventure on the Palmiet River in the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, south of Cape Town!
Ending its journey in the South Atlantic Ocean at Kleinmond, the Palmiet River flows through the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, where it is a playground for many white-water sports enthusiasts. So it is only natural that the Gravity Adventures team invite you to discover tubing, an activity that involves descending the river and its rapids on board a large individual buoy also known as a ‘geko’.
Tubing on the Palmiet River is accessible from the age of 8, making it an ideal activity to share with family and friends. Aboard your ‘geko’ buoy, you will float along the river and cross its rapids, class 1 to 4 depending on the water level - nothing too difficult, especially as the white-water sections are optional! You will also have the pleasure of admiring the superb scenery of the Kogelberg Nature Reserve while tubing down the Palmiet River for around 4 hours, enough to give you some incredible memories of your time in Kleinmond.
Less than a 2-hour drive from Cape Town, don't miss out on the Kogelberg Nature Reserve and don't hesitate tubing down the Palmiet River! And if this activity isn't available, perhaps you would be interested in rafting on the Palmiet River instead?
