Meet the world's most feared ocean predator on a shark cage diving excursion to Dyer Island, near Gansbaai!
Are you fascinated by sharks and want to meet them in a respectful way that is committed to their preservation? Look no further: this shark cage diving excursion in Dyer Island, organised by the Marine Dynamics team, is the experience for you! Marine Dynamics is a company committed not only to the conservation of South Africa's marine wildlife but also to eco-tourism. Each trip is an opportunity for its team of marine biologist guides to collect data that will be used for research to preserve the local ecosystem!
On this shark diving trip to Dyer Island, a renowned site for cage diving with sharks near Gansbaai, the boat will anchor in the shallows for 2 to 3 hours. During this time, the marine biologist guides on board will be on hand to pass on valuable information about these incredible animals, while collecting data as they begin to approach. As soon as they arrive, it is time for those who want to get in the cage!
Under the supervision of the guides who will help you enter the cage, you will go into the water equipped with your wetsuits (to keep your body warm in water that oscillates between 15 and 20°C during the austral winter, and 10 and 15°C during the austral summer) and diving masks. You won't need a snorkel, as the cage remains on the side of the boat at all times, without being fully submerged, so you can keep your head above water whenever you like - ideal if you can't swim either. You will then have the pleasure of observing Dyer Island's famous sharks in their natural environment: the copperhead shark (Bronze Whaler), the broadnose sevengill shark and, if you are lucky, the famous great white shark!
On this shark cage diving excursion near Gansbaai, no food is used to feed the animals, only a bait/lure to capture their attention as soon as they come around the boat. So you can admire them in complete safety, and get your adrenaline pumping while respecting their environment and helping them thanks to the research carried out by Marine Dynamics! So if you love these animals, don't hesitate to book this shark diving trip to Dyer Island from Kleinbaai, accompanied by committed professionals!
