A 20-minute drive north along the R27, or West Coast road as it’s more commonly known, is all it takes for you to be whisked from the Cape Town city centre to the drop zone. From there, you will meet your instructor, receive a safety and activity briefing, and get equipped. You will be attached to your jump master with a special harness and state of the art parachute that is big enough for the both of you. Then, it is time to get on the plane for a 20 minute ride to 9,000ft above ground level! The flight itself offers great views of Cape Town, the Western Coast, and Robben Island as well. Finally, all there is left to do is jump!

With one leap out the doors of the plane, you will free fall for 30 seconds at a speed of 130 mph/200 kph. At about 5,000ft above ground level your tandem jump master will open the parachute and you will enjoy a peaceful parachute ride to the ground that will have you floating above Cape Town for 5 minutes. During that time, you will be able to take in the incredible views and thrilling sensations of flying like a bird as well as even assisting in steering the parachute! Though your time tandem skydiving may not seem long, the memories of your skydiving experience in Cape Town are sure to last a lifetime.

Activity requirements

Parental consent is required for passengers under the age of 18. A signed letter brought with on the day or an email from the parent will suffice.

All participants MUST be a minimum weight of 35kg/77lbs and minimum height of 1.4m/3.2ft.

There is a maximum weight of 100 kg (220lbs/15.75 stone).

Weather conditions may affect your activity.

Special terms

Transport can be provided at an additional cost. A air conditioned vehicle will be used for the transport.

Please note that you will not be permitted to take any cameras, cell phones or other loose objects on the aircraft or the skydive
