Set out into the Norwegian wilderness for an unforgettable reindeer sledding and Northern Lights adventure from Tromsø! In addition, you'll learn about Sámi culture and be treated to a delicious meal. Welcoming adventurers of all ages!

The Sámi people are the indigenous inhabitants of Sápmi, which stretches across the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. Sámi culture is characterized by its rich traditions, language, and close connection to the Arctic environment. In addition, reindeer herding is a traditional Sámi livelihood and a symbol of their culture. What better way to immerse yourself in the Arctic wilderness surrounding Tromsø than by learning about this incredible culture and embarking upon a reindeer sledding adventure, while also taking in the awe-inspiring Northern Lights?

Your journey begins in Tromsø, where you and your group (a maximum of 48 participants) will be picked up at the meeting point. After a scenic 45-minute drive, you will arrive at the Tromsø Lapland base and be greeted by your friendly and experienced guide. Once you've put on your winter gear, including thermal overalls and winter boots, you'll experience the magic of a reindeer sledding under the starry Arctic sky with the Lyngen Alps as a backdrop. If luck is on your side, you may witness the vibrant colours of the Northern Lights as well.

After the reindeer sledding, you'll feed the herd and have time to interact with these amazing creatures. With the reindeer fed, you'll be taken to a Lavvo-hut (a Sámi tent) and enjoy a warm stew with hot drinks. (Vegetarian options are available, please specify when booking.) While you're savouring your delicious meal, your guide will share insights into Sámi culture and history, including aspects of daily life, artefacts, and traditional Sámi clothing.
