Discover Scuba Diving from Paradise Beach in Mykonos

Mykonos is a Greek island, forming part of the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea. It is home to crystal-clear waters, beautiful beaches, and many vibrant dive sites! This diving experience will take place from Paradise Beach, one of Mykonos' most renowned beaches.

On this adventure, you'll discover scuba diving for the first time. No previous diving experience or certification is required. Upon arrival at the dive centre on Paradise Beach in Mykonos, you'll be greeted by a certified instructor. You'll start by watching a short introductory video at the centre, which explains all of the basics of scuba diving. Then, you'll receive the scuba diving equipment (mask, fins, snorkel, buoyancy compensator, wetsuit, regulator, and tank), and the instructor will teach you how to use it.

For this excursion, you can choose to do a shore dive or both a shore and boat dive. After gearing up, you'll start with the shore dive at the waterline on Paradise Beach. You'll begin in shallow water, testing the equipment and feeling the sensation of breathing underwater. Then, the first dive begins! With the instructor, you'll dive beneath the water and discover the underwater world. You'll explore an underwater reef, swimming with species such as sponges, nudibranchs, colourful wrasse, sea bream, barracuda, starfish and octopus.

If you choose just the shore dive, the excursion will end back at the centre, where you'll be presented with a certificate of participation. For the shore & boat dive option, you'll have a short break and prepare for the boat dive in the afternoon. You'll depart from Paradise Beach in a boat and travel to one of Mykonos' fascinating dive sites, such as Paradise Reef, Paradise Point, or Ornos Rocks. Upon arrival at the site, you'll embark on your second dive directly from the boat!

Once again, you'll experience the remarkable sensation of breathing underwater and discover the life beneath the surface. You may spot moray eels, lobster, amberjacks and different kinds of groupers in these waters. Some sites are also home to interesting underwater rock formations and ancient artefacts. At the end of the boat dive, you'll return to the centre at Paradise Beach and receive a Discover Scuba Diving certificate with your logged dives, helping you to progress to the Open Water Diver course in the future!
