Enjoy a semi-private sailing cruise from Mykonos to Rhenia Island and Delos Island, with a guided tour of the archaeological site!
Mykonos is a popular Greek island located in the Aegean Sea, forming part of the Cyclades group. It is known for its stunning landscapes, with sandy beaches, rolling hills, and crystal-clear waters. On this boat tour from Mykono, you'll discover the nearby islands of Rhenia and Delos!
The sailing cruise in Mykonos begins at the starting point on the island. Pick-up is available upon request for an additional charge. At the embarkment point, you'll board the 51-foot luxury yacht. The experienced crew will greet you and go through an overview of the yacht and safety information. Then, the boat cruise to Rhenia and Delos islands begins! As you sail, gaze out at the beautiful scenery and the remarkable crystal blue water of the Aegean Sea, chilling out to the tunes of your choice and relaxing as you sunbathe on deck.
After approximately 1 hour of sailing, you'll arrive at the untouched island of Rhenia, separated from the sacred island of Delos by just a small strait. The boat will anchor here at an idyllic bay, where you'll swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters and sunbathe on the golden sandy beach. Snorkelling gear is also provided for you to explore the fascinating underwater landscape of the island. Indulge yourself in the refreshing sea for swimming and snorkelling by the yacht swimming ladder (pier facilities or tendering ashore are not available).
Then, a freshly prepared lunch will be served on board. This will consist of a specially made Italian pasta with Greek flavoured dressing and Greek salad, or a local Mediterranean style buffet and juicy seasonal fruits. A selection of complimentary house wine and soft drinks are also offered. After spending approximately 2 hours in Rhenia, the boat cruise to Delos Island continues! Delos is one of the most important archaeological sites of Greek history.
At Delos, you'll spend about 1.5 hours with a professional English-speaking guide and about 30 minutes of free time exploring the UNESCO-listed Island of Delos, visiting the museum, walking up Mount Kynthos (367 feet high) and admiring the staggering array of ancient ruins. According to mythology, Delos is the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, and the sanctuary to both gods serves as the centre of a large Hellenistic city of about 30,000 inhabitants. On the return journey, you'll say goodbye in the Greek way with a farewell shot drink toast! You'll arrive back at the pier in Mykonos and be shuttled to your original pick-up point (if selected).
