If you are keen to observe the life that thrives in Polynesian waters and dive deeper than you would when snorkelling, but are apprehensive about diving with a tank, this unique underwater scooter diving experience in Bora Bora is just what you need! Thanks to these unique machines, which have an air-filled cockpit to keep your upper body dry and a transparent bubble to allow you to look all around you underwater, you will be able to dive to a depth of 3 metres for 30 minutes without needing to return to the surface.
Accessible to everyone from the age of 6, even those who can't swim, this underwater scooter adventure in the lagoon of Bora Bora will allow the whole family to discover the beauty of the Polynesian lagoon seabed, alongside a diving instructor who will look after your safety and show you where to look underwater. With tropical fish, black-tip sharks, stingrays, coral gardens and many other underwater treasures, you will come away from your dive with stars in your eyes!

Practical information
A scuba diving discovery for 30 minutes in an underwater scooter.
- Pick-up at your hotel in Bora Bora (island and motu hotels) or from the main quay in Vaitape, otherwise direct pick-up at the Bora Ocean Adventures centre
- Sailing to the pontoon where the underwater scooters are located (15 to 30 minutes)
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions, then boarding the underwater scooters
- Launch with a diving instructor for 30 minutes of immersion to a depth of 3 metres
- Return to the pontoon and disembark
- Return on board the boat, de-equipping (shower on board the boat) and return to your hotel/main dock in Vaitape/dive centre
Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity.
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people. People with reduced mobility can only take part in private outings: please contact the centre directly to see if this is possible.
12 hours delay before taking a flight.
If you wish, you can obtain photos and videos of your activity on site for a supplement of 9 000 xpf (option not guaranteed on every outing).
The afternoon slot from 1 p.m. onwards will only be private (same price).
If you would like to take part in the activity as a companion on board the boat, without diving in an underwater scooter, this may only be possible as a private outing, but it is not 100% guaranteed: please contact the centre directly to see if this is possible.
