To the north of Lake Serre-Ponçon, the Ecrins National Park is a natural setting for a whole host of outdoor activities, including rafting on the various rivers that flow through it. And if you are looking for a thrill, the Gyronde and Gyr rivers are ideal for a sensational rafting trip near Embrun! Departing from Saint-Clément-sur-Durance, you will take the shuttle bus to the river best suited to your rafting adventure in the Ecrins National Park:
The Gyronde River - accessible from the age of 12, the Gyronde River course will take you through challenging class IV rapids in the heart of the forest for 2 hours, with a break halfway through to recharge your batteries;
The Gyr River - a more challenging rafting trip, the Gyr River is only accessible to those aged 16 and over, as this glacial torrent is one of the fastest in the country: 2 descents of 30 minutes each through class V rapids await you, breathless and full of adrenalin!
Guided by a professional instructor on board, you will need to coordinate with your teammates to successfully navigate the wild rapids of the Gyronde and the Gyr rivers during your rafting descent in the Ecrins National Park!
