Fancy an adrenalin-pumping white-water activity in the Queyras Regional Nature Park? Then this kayak-raft descent of the Guil River is for you!
Alone aboard an inflatable kayak called an Airboat, it is up to you to successfully navigate the sporty class III to IV rapids of the Guil River in the heart of the Queyras valley: supervised by a professional instructor who will be sailing not far from you, aboard his own Airboat, you will enjoy this thrilling experience in complete safety! You will have the pleasure of kayak-rafting down the Guil, a river that offers numerous different routes, so the instructor can adapt the trip to suit you and your level of ability.
The adventure begins in Saint-Clément-sur-Durance, north of Lake Serre-Ponçon, where the Nomad River School team will provide you with the equipment you need for the activity (helmet, life jacket, etc.). You will then take the shuttle bus to the Queyras Regional Nature Park for a 2-hour Airboat trip down the Guil River! With your double paddle in hand, you will be in control of your inflatable kayak for an unforgettable white-water adventure!
If you are a thrill-seeker, aged 16 or over and know how to swim, don't hesitate: this kayak-raft descent of the Guil River near Embrun is the adventure for you! But if this is your very first Airboat experience and the trip seems too intense, opt instead for the kayak-raft discovery trip on the Durance River.
