You'll leave the Discovery Safari base, taking a route that heads up to the mountains. You'll travel through some impressive gorges with amazing archaeological formations and cross shallow rivers to reach the next destination.

Over the course of the outing you'll encounter incredible wildlife and visit the traditional 11th to 12th Cretan villages that are not on the map. You'll make several stops, including a break at a traditional kafenion, providing you with perfect photo opportunities.

For lunch, you'll be provided delicious sandwiches prepared using fresh local produce.

Activity requirements

All drivers should have a driving licence valid for at least 1 year and be over 21 years old.

Minimum age as passenger: 5 years old.

Please avoid flip-flops.

Special terms

Discovery Safaris can pick you up and drop you back off at your accommodation in some areas in Rethymno, but please note this must be organised beforehand.

All vehicles are thoroughly checked before departure.

You get to ride for hours and it is a lot of fun. You also have 3 stops with lots of "Instagram picture" moments. I highly recommend, bring your girlfriend and have a fun activity day. (you get dirty, and remember to buy a neck gaiter).

Looked into booking the Quad Excursion for the family, was worried that it might be too tame for my 2 boys aged 17 and 20, I shouldn't of worried!! it was FAR from tame whilst still being a well managed, safe experience. Route was challenging and exciting and the stops were much needed to rest up and take in the amazing scenery.

Excellente activité. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un guide qui parle français. Très sympa. De bonnes sensations . Parfois un peu flippant quand on a le vertige mais ça passe . Je vous recommande cette activité. Il y a des points de vue à couper le souffle. Des chemins à gravir improbable. Je ne vous en dit pas plus :)
