Made of limestone, the cliffs of Bonifacio offer unique landscapes in Corsica, in the heart of the Natural Reserve of the Bouches de Bonifacio. Impressive by their height from the land, they are also not to be missed from the sea! And for that, a sea kayak tour starting from the beach of Piantarella is a must, facing the island of Piana, which you will also visit to observe the birds that nest there.

During 2.5 hours, you will enjoy a sea kayak excursion in the caves of the cliffs of Bonifacio to admire their structure, with swimming breaks allowing you to enjoy not only the translucent waters along the cliffs and the wild creeks but also those of the beach of Grand Sperone which you will pass in front of. You will be guided by an instructor who will be happy to comment on this sea kayak trip to teach you more about the geology of the caves and cliffs of Bonifacio, as well as the fauna and flora of this unmissable site in South Corsica!

Practical information

A guided sea kayak excursion to the cliffs of Bonifacio to explore the caves for 2.5 hours: you will sail for around 1.5 hours, with breaks along the way (1-hour break in total) for swimming and snorkelling.

Course of events

Please allow a total of 3 hours to spend on site.

  • Welcome at the base on Piantarella beach 20 minutes before the start of the activity
  • Briefing and distribution of equipment for the activity
  • Handover of equipment with safety briefing
  • Explanation on land of the course and launch
  • Departure for a 2.5-hour sea kayak tour to the cliffs of Bonifacio, including various stops (islets/beaches/caves/cliffs) and swimming breaks to observe the seabed
  • Return to Piantarella beach
  • Equipment storage, debriefing and end of the activity
Activity requirements

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity (children who cannot swim can participate as long as they are accompanied by an adult who can swim).

All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please arrive 20 minutes before the departure time.

Special terms

You will have the possibility to choose your kayak on site for a supplement of 5€ per kayak.
