The Epir Plongée team will take you safely to the marvellous calanques near Île-Rousse for some snorkelling and to discover the underwater biodiversity they harbour. Situated in the Balagne region of Corsica, Île-Rousse boasts a host of impressive marine creatures that are worth watching from the water's surface! Species such as anemones, Mediterranean sponges, starfish, scorpion fish, moonfish and rays populate the surrounding area.

After equipping yourself with a wetsuit, flippers, mask and snorkel, your objective will be to observe this underwater world while snorkelling in Île-Rousse. A qualified and experienced instructor will be on hand to guide you through your outing and make sure you get the most out of your snorkelling excursion in Corsica.

Practical information

This activity lasts around 2 hours in total and includes 1 hour of snorkelling near Île-Rousse.

Course of events
  • Meet up at the Epir Plongée diving school, where you'll get to know the team.
  • A quick overview of the information you need to know to enter the water and the safety protocols.
  • Wetsuit and all the necessary equipment (fins, mask, snorkel).
  • Sail to the snorkelling spot for a maximum of 25 minutes (most sites are within a 10-minute radius, the furthest being 25 minutes away).
  • Approximately 1 hour of exploration in the water.
  • Return to the dive centre and debriefing.
Activity requirements

You need to be able to swim to take part in this activity.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Special terms

Participants who wear glasses can bring their own mask adapted to their eyesight. Alternatively, ask your optician if you would like to wear contact lenses during the activity.
