A first dive is an essential first step towards discovering the magical world of scuba diving. Accompanied by a state-qualified instructor, your first dive at Île-Rousse will be full of new sensations and will allow you to admire the region's underwater fauna and flora in complete safety.

The first dive sites at Île-Rousse are only a short distance from the diving centre and are chosen according to sailing and weather conditions, as well as the age of the divers. You'll dive with your instructor to a maximum depth of 6 metres, at sites with very good visibility. This first dive in Corsica will give you the chance to observe species such as anemones, Mediterranean sponges, starfish, scorpion fish, moonfish and rays.

Practical information

This activity lasts up to 3 hours in total and includes a dive of around 20 minutes in a rocky cove in L'Île-Rousse.

Course of events
  • Meet at the Epir Plongée diving school, where you will be fitted with a wetsuit.
  • Quick joint presentation of information to remember and safety protocols
  • 10-minute boat trip to reach the creek
  • Personal briefing with the instructor
  • Launch for around 20 minutes of underwater exploration at a maximum depth of 6 metres
  • Return to the dive centre and receive your first dive certificate
Activity requirements

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This activity is not suitable for pregnant people, people with heart problems, respiratory problems (asthma), epilepsy and/or diabetes.
