With 2 people per boat or 3 with a child aged 12 and under in the middle, set off on an unforgettable 4-hour canoe tour on Lake Arthabaska, right in the heart of the Grands-Jardins National Park. On your own, you will discover a preserved natural area that forms part of the Central Areas of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve, a status granted to the region by UNESCO. A wealth of flora and fauna awaits you, along with breathtaking scenery!

Your canoe excursion on Lake Arthabaska will take you through a variety of aquatic environments, all of which you will be able to understand better thanks to the free self-discovery guide provided on request by the SEPAQ team at the Grands-Jardins National Park. Equipped with a life jacket for your safety, you will explore the lake as far as the Wabano Dam, following a predefined itinerary that will allow you to make the most of the exceptional environment this Charlevoix site has to offer.

Just an hour's drive from La Malbaie and an hour and a half from Saguenay, this canoe tour on Lake Arthabaska will take you right to the heart of Quebec's nature in the Grands-Jardins National Park!

Course of events

- Meeting with the team at the park's Discovery and Services Centre

- Fitting of life jackets and briefing on the activity and safety instructions (you can ask for the self-discovery guide (free) to help you better understand your surroundings)

- Launching of the canoes on the edge of the lake

- Departure for a 4-hour round trip on the lake on your own

- Return to the starting point, return of your equipment and end of the activity

Activity requirements

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult. It is possible to have 2 adults + 1 child aged 12 and under or 1 adult + 2 children aged 12 and under in the same canoe.
