Practical information

Discover the via ferrata at Grünstein above the Königssee: this via ferrata offers different routes for different levels (beginner - level A/B (K1/K2) to sportsman - level D/E (K4/K5)), each of which can be completed in around 3 hours depending on your own pace.

Course of events

Please allow between 4 and 5 hours for the whole experience.

  • Meeting with the guide at the car park in front of the Gaststätte Echostüberl restaurant, 15 minutes before the start of the activity
  • Distribution of via ferrata material and equipment, with a briefing on the activity
  • Approx. 40-minute approach walk to the via ferrata
  • Safety briefing
  • Departure for a 3-hour via ferrata course, on a route adapted to your level and with the guide to help you if necessary to overcome obstacles
  • Return walk of around 1 hour to the car park
  • Return of equipment and end of the activity
Activity requirements

Being in good physical condition and not being afraid of heights is required to take part in this activity.

Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.

A minimum of 2 participants is required to run this activity.
