Experience the enchantment of Alaska’s winter wonderland during this guided kayak excursion near Anchorage!
Winter kayaking is a great way to experience Alaska’s unique wilderness a little differently! For your excursion, you will have the chance to get out of town where your professional guide will take you off the beaten path for an authentic Alaskan experience. Winter river kayaking is sure to be a highlight of your trip!
Kayaking is a fun sport that is easy to pick up, but what makes this activity even more exciting is that it takes place in the fairytale landscape of Alaska’s winter wilderness! As you gently paddle through the ice sheets and along snowy river banks you will have an incredible view of the mountains and woodlands outside of Anchorage.Your guide will provide a heated tent so that you can comfortably change into the wetsuit – a key piece of gear that will help prevent you from hypothermia should you fall in the water! In the case that anyone falls in the water, not only will the wetsuit keep you warm, but your guide is also specially trained to get you warm and dry as fast as possible. From there, you will receive a quick introduction to either kayaking or stand up paddle boarding (up to you to choose!) and then your guide will take you along the river and into secret locales that most visitors to Alaska never get the chance to see.
