Owned and operated by guides, Icelandic Mountain Guides were the pioneers in glacier walks in Iceland. Started in 1994 by four guides the company boasts over 100 employees most of which are guides. They run mostly adventure tours from the glacier walks they invented to ice climbing, trekking/ hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling, quad biking as well as multi day tours. They own and operate 4 brands offering superjeep tours, snowboarding/ skiing tours as well as trips and epeditions to Greenland. 

Headquartered in Reykjavik, they have satellite offices all over Iceland giving you the chance to immerse yourself in all that Iceland has to offer. Not only are they experts in all things wild they are also champions of the environment.

Our instructor Jose was very nice and funny and we learnt a lot from him. Very careful and thoughtful and also teached us how to drink water out of the glacier as a viking!
