Practical information
9.30 AM - 10.00 AM: Transport
After signing the contract at the office and paying the outstanding amount, we drive to the cave in our 4×4 vehicle. The journey by car is approximately 20′. The cave is located in the village of Montán, approximately 9km from Montanejos. The name of the cave is Cirà (Cirano in Valencian), and it has had many uses, including an aggressive mining prospecting for the mineral Onyx. Luckily they didn't find it, but its entrance shows the "delicacy" of their methods.
10.00 AM - 10.30 AM: Handing over of equipment
Once we have arrived at our destination, we will hand in our personal equipment (overalls to protect us from dust and mud, harness, helmet, head torch...).
10.30 AM - 1.30 PM: Visit to the cave
We will enter the cave, guided by the instructor who will prepare the ropes at each point to secure the passage. In addition, he will tell you a lot of interesting things about the formations and history of this cave. For the more daring, we will propose you to penetrate some "gateras" or narrow passages, which will test your skills.
1.30 PM - 2.30 PM: Return to Montanejos
Once out of the cave and in the vehicles we can take off our equipment and return to Montanejos. Here you will be able to use our changing rooms and outdoor showers if you request it.
2.30 PM: End of the activity
At this point we finish the activity. The guides have to clean and collect the equipment. If you are hungry or thirsty, there is nothing better than booking a great meal in one of the restaurants or terraces of the village, ask us!
