Practical information
A PADI course that introduces you to scuba diving over a short half-day, consisting of a theory lesson, a practice dive and an exploration dive.
Course of events
Please allow half a day for the whole experience.
- Welcome at the Eureka Plongée diving centre 15 minutes before the start of the activity
- Theoretical session during which you will learn the basics of scuba diving, the equipment used, the essential rules to follow and how to communicate during the dive
- Distribution of diving equipment (wetsuit, mask and fins) and equipment in the centre's changing rooms
- Boarding the boat
- Navigation to the dive site with a briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Fitting the rest of the diving equipment
- One-by-one entry into the water (1 diver for 1 instructor) for your first practice dive, to a maximum depth of 6 metres, during which you will practise the basics you have already learned
- Return on board the boat for a break and an initial debriefing
- One-by-one entry into the water for the second dive, to a maximum depth of 6 metres, this time dedicated to discovering the underwater environment
- Return on board the boat and de-equipping
- Navigation back to the dive centre with a debriefing of the experience
- Disembarkation and reception of your Discover Scuba Diving diploma to end the activity, with the option of taking a shower on site if needed
Activity requirements
All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.
