Discover the volcanic world of the island of La Palma for 2 hours on this caving excursion through the Cueva de Las Palomas lava tunnel: accompanied by a guide, you will set off on a 1.2 km expedition, first on the footbridge (500 metres round trip), then into the lava tunnel (570 metres round trip).
Please allow around 2.5 hours for the whole experience.
- Meeting with the guide at the entrance to the volcanic tube footbridge at the Caños de Fuego Interpretation Centre (free parking) 15 minutes before the start of the activity
- Briefing on the activity and distribution of safety equipment (helmet and headlamp)
- Start of the tour on the footbridge overlooking the lava flows (about 1 hour, approx. 250 metres)
- Entrance to the lava tube for around 1 hour (underground walk of around 570 metres round trip)
- Back outside on the footbridge for the walk back to the meeting point (about 250 metres) and the end of the activity
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Closed shoes are mandatory to take part in this activity.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.
A minimum number of 4 participants is required to run this activity.
This activity is not accessible to people with reduced mobility and is not recommended for people suffering from claustrophobia.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
