Sporty Canyoning in the Zitziratsé Canyon in Larrau, near Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port

Please plan to spend a total of 6 hours on site.

• Meeting with the instructor in front of Camping Ixtila in Larrau, 10 minutes before the start of the activity
• 20-minute drive (using your own vehicle) to the canyon car park
• Distribution of canyoning equipment and briefing on the activity and safety instructions for the approach walk
• 1-hour approach walk to the canyon via a forest path with steep sections
• Equipment (neoprene wetsuit and socks, helmet and harness)
• Safety briefing with a workshop on the use of lanyards and abseiling techniques
• Departure for a 4-hour descent of the Zitziratsé Canyon, with jumps (never compulsory), 5 abseiling descents up to 25 metres high, river walking and sections of de-escalation (picnic break taken during the descent or at the end of the course depending on the weather and the pace of the group)
• 15-minute walk back to the canyon car park via steep sections
• De-equipping and end of the activity

All participants must know how to swim, be sporty and have no medical contraindications to take part in this activity.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Please arrive 10 minutes before the departure time.

A minimum number of 4 participants is required to run this activity.

This activity is not accessible to pregnant people or disabled people.

Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.

For group bookings of 6 or more participants, a reduction of €5 per person will be applied to the price of the activity.
