Practical information
An introductory sailing session on the Douro River lasting 2.5 hours: in a small group of 5 participants on board, you will take part in the manoeuvres and navigation of the yacht with the help of the captain.
- Welcome at the BBDouro sailing school at the Douro marina, 15 minutes before the start of the activity
- Distribution of life jackets
- Boarding of the yacht with briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Departure for a 2.5-hour sailing tour on the Douro River, first towards the Ribeira district, then, if possible depending on the day's weather conditions, out to sea
- Return to the Douro marina, disembarkation and end of the activity
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.
Please inform your instructor of any medical conditions when booking.
The team has a boat suitable for people with reduced mobility: once your booking has been confirmed, please contact BBDouro to let them know so that they can prepare the boat for you.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant people.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
Please note that you will be randomly allocated to the boats (5 people per boat) and that it is not possible to specify your preferences at the time of booking, but the team will try not to split groups.
